Ghanaian midfielder Rahim Ibrahim struck a crucial late equaliser as Slovan Bratislava drew 2-2 with fierce rivals Spartak Trnava in a dramatic derby at TehelnÃ© pole.

With Slovan trailing deep into the second half, Ibrahim arrived unmarked on the edge of the box on 86 minutes to sweep home the hosts’ second and keep them top of the Championship Group.

Spartak had silenced the home crowd when Gong finished coolly on 28 minutes after a slick counterattack. Slovan responded after the break, Aleksandar Markovic levelling on 54 minutes, only for Khorkheli to restore Spartak’s lead with eight minutes remaining. Ibrahim then produced his moment of quality, timing his run perfectly to latch onto a low cross and guide his shot beyond the goalkeeper.

The 24-year-old has now made 23 league appearances in the 2025/26 Slovakian Liga, scoring 2 goals and providing 1 assist.

Slovan’s focus quickly turns to their next fixture away to DAC DunajskÃ¡ Streda on Saturday 18 April, another key test in their title defence.
