Ivory Coast winger Amad Diallo has stressed the importance of learning from the experience of participating in the 2026 FIFA World Cup, despite the Elephants Round of 32 elimination. The Manchester United forward enjoyed a good tournament with his national team, scoring twice in four matches.He climbed off the bench to score the winning goal for Ivory Coast in their opening match against Ecuador, before netting the teams consolation goal in the 2-1 loss to Norway in the Round of 32.Speaking in a post-match interview after the teams exit, Amad Diallo shared the teams disappointment with the elimination, but assured that the new generation of players will take lessons for the future.We are very disappointed to lose because we know we have many outstanding players who are capable of changing the course of a match at any moment, Diallo said.He added, We were playing against a team with exceptional players, but we conceded a goal at the end of the match, and we regret going out in this way.But we will benefit from this tournament, as it is the first participation of our generation in the World Cup.After knocking out Ivory Coast, Norway will now contend with Brazil in the Round of 32.
