Vivo Energy Ghana has launched a new range of Shell Advance lubricants aimed at improving engine performance and durability for motorists across the country.

The company, which is the exclusive distributor and marketer of Shell-branded fuels and lubricants in Ghana, unveiled the products at an event held at the Airport Shell service station in Accra on 31 March 2026.

The event brought together industry stakeholders, regulators, members of the biker community, business partners and the media.

Speaking at the launch, Christian Li, Managing Director of Vivo Energy Ghana, said the introduction of the new range goes beyond a product rollout.

“Today is more than a product launch. It is a celebration of progress, a demonstration of innovation, and a powerful reminder of what becomes possible when passion meets purpose,” he said.

The new Shell Advance range, which includes Advance AX7 and Advance Ultra, is designed to reduce engine wear, minimise friction, enhance performance and extend engine life.

According to the company, the products are engineered with advanced technology to ensure smoother and more reliable operation for riders.

The launch also drew participation from road safety and transport authorities, who highlighted the importance of proper vehicle maintenance in promoting safer roads.

Delivering a goodwill message, Darko Offei Lomotey of the Motor Traffic and Transport Department (MTTD) said many road crashes can be prevented through proper vehicle maintenance.

“Many road incidents can be prevented when motorists pay attention to the condition of their vehicles. The new biker laws aim at formalising the sector and improving road safety,” he said.

Also speaking at the event, Henry Asomani of the National Road Safety Authority (NRSA) commended Vivo Energy Ghana for promoting quality products and supporting road safety initiatives.

“Road safety goes beyond driver behaviour; it includes ensuring that vehicles are in optimal condition,” he said.

Vivo Energy Ghana said the new lubricant range will be made available nationwide through its network of Shell service stations and accredited resellers.
